Home Learning
Whilst remote learning provision is no longer statutory, home learning is sometimes necessary for some children or classes, so parents/carers may find the below information useful.
We all became familiar with Google Classrooms and continue to use that platform for class homework projects and work in class.
Information has been sent to parents about setting up their child’s account & signing in. You can watch our tutorial in accessing and handing in classwork through Google Classrooms below.
If you have any other issues or questions about using Google Classrooms, please contact your child’s class teacher.
To support home learning, including research for homework projects, we recommend using a search engine called Kiddle with your children instead of Google as it is safer & more age-appropriate than Google.
We used the Oak National Academy online lessons as part of our remote learning provision. If for any health reason a child needed to access home learning, we would continue to use this resource which can be found here. We would also use Google Classroom to offer further support.
Other home learning platforms related to regular homework tasks can be accessed here:
You can also see further information and links to helpful websites for online safety on our safeguarding page.
Supporting SEND children at home
From 8th March 2021, SEND children attending Langenhoe can find additional resources and activities to support with their My Plans at home on our virtual Sparkle Room Class on Google Classrooms (SEND children’s parents have been sent details to access).
