The School Day

School Opens – 8:45am
Morning Break – 10:00 – 10:15am (Sparrow Class), 10.45-11.00am (Owl, Nightingale and Falcon Class), Robin Class break time is flexible. On Wednesday the whole school has break at 10-10.15am
Lunch Break – 12:15 – 1:15pm
End of School Day – 3:15pm

This amounts to 32.5 hours on a typical week.

Assemblies

We have a whole school singing assembly once a week (days can vary) a weekly whole school assembly led by different members of staff and the school council, and on a Friday we have a whole school ‘Gold book’ celebration assembly. We have additional whole school assemblies at varying times and days throughout the school year, which are often led by visitors such as the vicar from Mersea Free Church. Each Class has a sharing assembly once a year. Please note that the reception children in Robin Class may not attend all of the whole school assemblies at the start of the academic year until they are settled into primary school life.

Before and After School Care

Langenhoe School currently offer wraparound care and this is split into two sessions “Before School Club” and “After School Club”.

As of 4 Nov 2024, Before School Club will run from 7:45am until 8:45am, and your child will be offered breakfast.

As of 4 Nov 2024, After School Club will run from 3:15pm – 5:15pm. These will be broken down into hourly slots, from 3:15pm – 4:15pm and 4:15pm – 5:15pm, and your child will be offered a light snack.
